Where are you going? Why? How far is it? Why again? I keep getting asked so many questions. These are not the sort of questions my life has even been able to answer. There is a famous line in a traditional Navajo blessing: In beauty may I walk. This is the kind of answer I wish to create. One line, simple and profound. A sentence that says everything. (I swear I live for single sentences.) Yesterday I ate breakfast alone in the car in a Fry’s parking lot. I spilt coffee in my rental car. I had my first what the f* am I doing moment. (I mean really, if I knew why and how far and where I’d have said so by now.) That was yesterday though, today I ate breakfast with this sunrise as my date, later we will take a really long walk.
